Olathe Community Theater "Moonlight and Magnolias" review by BRN2ACT33

M & M: As Good as it Gets Rating: 5

Moonlight and Magnolias
Olathe Community Theatre Association

OCTA continues to provide the highest quality in entertainment. Its latest outing of Moonlight and Magnolias is nothing short of superb. Director Nancy Eppert has assembled an amazingly talented cast and put together a first-rate production. Bill Pelletier gives a commanding performance as Producer David O. Selznick giving a dynamic portrayal of the Hollywood producer desperate to get Gone with the Wind on the screen. Equally moving performances were given by the very talented Jeremy D. Riggs as screen writer Ben Hecht and Peter Leondedis as director Victor Fleming. Victoria L. Prater, as Selznick's secretary, provided wonderful comic relief. The only disappointment of the evening was the meager audience. This cast and production deserves far, far better consideration. I urge everyone to treat themselves to a very entertaining evening of theatre by attending one of the closing weekend performances.
