Bathroom Confessions
KC Fringe Festival

Bathroom Confessions, written and directed by Crystal Gould, has its moments but not much more. This very short piece was well performed and interesting to see but felt as if it could offer so much more. This one act has a great cast of very energetic people showing us a night in women's restroom at a concert. Two friends burst in at the start of the show looking for a place to hide out because one of their boyfriends was there with another girl. Other people filter in and a party happens where old friends meet and share thoughts, only to leave and hook up with others they met in the bathroom.

Some of the jokes and one-liners were funny, but the story was lacking to the point that some of the bit actions performed in the background by other actors drew my focus from the main dialog. Also the fact that a good amount of the dialog was hard to understand because of either lack of microphones or just general mumbling made it hard to follow what was said on stage. Still, it was worth seeing if you have time and are near a performance, but I would not go out of my way for it.
