  • The Missouri Department of Tourism shot four new television commercials in KC using SAG contracts. Auditions were held at Wright/Laird Casting. T2 handled the shoot for Hoffman-Lewis Advertising Agency in St. Louis.
  • Wright/Laird Casting has been busy on other projects as well. They have been casting for Sprint, Silver Dollar City, SAP projects, and were looking for adults and babies who had been born in Boone County Hospital in Columbia.
  • Director Hugh Gross shot his feature After the Wizard around Kingman, Kan., and Topeka.
  • Location scouting has commenced for a feature to be shot in KC this fall. The director is looking for houses valued around $1 million in areas south of the Missouri River.
  • Do you have production internship available for this summer? Contact the Missouri Motion Media Association at FilmMOMMA@gmail.com indicating the number of hours per week and if the internship is paid or unpaid. They will broadcast this to schools with film programs.
  • Nick Vedros Photography of KC shot a Capital One print ad.
  • Stick Figure Productions visited St. Louis shooting a documentary on Joseph Pulitzer. The project was for HBO.
  • Judy-Anne Goldman of KC is gearing up to shoot a documentary entitled Zamboanga: Poverty, War, Music.
  • Luck Duck Films and Taylor-Reid Entertainment plan to shoot their feature White Picket Fence in Salina in June. For information, contact them at RomanceWriter4u@aol.com
