Classic ballet doesn’t have to follow a rule book. That is especially true of next weekend’s winter performance by the Kansas City Ballet, which consists of three dissimilar pieces that cross all types of boundaries. On the program will be a Shakespearean drama where the acting equals the dancing, a ballet with a contemporary twist by a famed choreographer and “Lambarena,” a novel mix of Bach and the melodies and rhythms of an African nation.
