Darcus Gates owns Darcus Nail Salon and Day Spa,4721 Tracy. Gates is also a professional singer. She performs Jan. 11 at the Blue Room.
She and her husband, George, son of barbecue baron Ollie Gates, have
three children and four grandchildren and live in Kansas City.
