See? That wasn’t so bad now, was it? So 2012 didn’t
start too well for Kansas City jazz, what with that whole kerfluffle
about Jardine’s closing and staying closed. In the end, that major
setback didn’t create a crisis for the scene at large, as many of us had
feared. And some developments along the way helped to offset the loss
of opportunities for jazz gigs.
