KC Repertory "Mystery of Imra Vep" review by Russ Simmons
Since it’s founding in 1964, the Kansas City Repertory Theatre (née
Missouri Repertory Theatre) became known for its somber and ascetic
productions of Shakespeare, Ibsen and Chekov. Over the last decade or so, the company has made a concerted effort
to loosen its collar a bit, adding more musicals, comedies and original
productions to its repertoire. And now, it’s become ridiculous.
