Silent film festival honors first Academy Awards

"The First Academy Awards" will be the theme of the 15th annual Kansas Silent Film Festival. From Feb. 25-27 in White Concert Hall on the campus of Washburn University, the free event will feature movies that won or were nominated for the first set of Oscars presented by the just-formed Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
