Roger Oyster, principal trombonist of the Kansas City Symphony, has played with fourteen orchestras worldwide, including the St. Louis, Atlanta, Detroit, Chicago, Pittsburgh, and National (Washington, DC) Symphonies, as well as the Hong Kong Philharmonic and the Lyric Opera of Chicago. In a series of posts entitled “Timely and Timeless,” Oyster explores aspects of the Kansas City Symphony’s inaugural season in the Kauffman Center.
