Arts advocates decry elimination of Kansas Arts Commission
Which sounds better: saving $600,000 or losing twice that amount? That, according to arts advocates, is what Gov. Sam Brownback’s decision last week to abolish the Kansas Arts Commission boils down to. Kansas will be the first state in the nation to dismantle its arts-supporting agency.
