Musical Theatre Heritage "1776" preview by Robert Trussell

We find ourselves in the season of high-concept theater. First we had the Kansas City Actors Theatre production of “True West,” in which Mark Robbins and Jim Birdsall reprise roles they played when they were almost 30 years younger. Now Musical Theater Heritage is preparing to open a concert version of “1776,” the award-winning musical about the creation of the Declaration of Independence — but with an all-female cast anchored by Debra Bluford as Benjamin Franklin.
