Barn Players "Women of Rock" review by sparkyetc

Great Rock from Great Women
Rating: 4

Women of Rock: A Musical Benefit Concert for The Barn Players
The Barn Players, Inc.

It was a great show.  The 60's and 70's came out the best.  Several times I was really sucked in and felt like singing along.  Such great songs with some really good singers.  I would have given it a 5 but there were some troubles.  I was there Friday night the 1st night so it probably got even better the next 2 performances.  The band was decent but the heavier rock eluded them.  At the beginning of the second act a loud fog machine rumbled on the stage floor which degraded my experience till it quit.  Many times I had trouble hearing the singers even though they were wearing headset microphones.  The Joni Mitchell song was a nice change.  One singer, one guitar until the drummer decides he needs to add some hi-hat during the choruses.  I did enjoy the show very much even though I'm being critical.  I am supposed to be reviewing here.

Rock on Ladies.  This show should come back so we can Rock again.
