Operating somewhere between opera and musical comedy, Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Mikado nearly always makes for a fun night of theater. The Lyric Opera’s latest production, which opened April 20th at the Kauffman Center and runs through the 28th, is well put together and features some excellent singing and quite attractive sets and costumes.
