KC Repertory "American Buffalo" preview by Robert Trussell


When David Mamet’s “American Buffalo” was first seen in the 1970s, the critics were split. Some hailed it as a penetrating look at commerce reduced to its most basic level. Others dismissed it as a pointless, plot-less indulgence about inarticulate crooks in which nothing really happens.
