Plenty of film festivals have rolled through town over the years, but few can boast the scope and longevity of the AMC Theatres Kansas City FilmFest. The 16th annual gathering continues to provide a mix of local and global offerings, more than 120 over five days, starting Wednesday. It affords a nice cinematic alternative for those inundated with sequels, superheroes, vampires and Adam Sandler.
