Don’t expect to see much of Eric Rosen in Kansas City this fall. Kansas City Repertory Theatre’s seemingly inexhaustible artistic director is spreading the Rep brand as he restages big, complicated shows in Los Angeles and Seattle: “Venice,” the dystopian hip-hop musical Rosen directed and co-wrote with Matt Sax, and “A Christmas Story, the Musical,” adapted from the popular movie written and narrated by Jean Shepherd. Both shows received their world premieres at KC Rep.
