12-hour high school film competition

High school students can participate in the first-ever, 12-Hour High School Film Festival in Olathe on October 16, 2010, sponsored by the Kansas Film Commission and University of Kansas Film Department. Students spend 12 hours (5:00 am to 5:00 pm) developing a two-minute film that follows a theme and includes a complete plot. Categories are directing, cinematography, editing, story/plot, special effects, sound editing, best overall film and a people's choice award.
