A Christmas Story was released in 1983 and became an instant classic.
The leg lamp, the Red Ryder BB gun, the tongue stuck to the lamppost —
all those scenes have become part of the holiday lexicon. It is the
Christmas some of us remember or the Christmas some wish we had
experienced. At its core, though, it is the warm story of a Midwestern
family.
