UMKC Conservatory dean Peter Witte speaks to Chamber of Commerce

The Big Idea Exchange: Peter Witte, Dean, UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance discusses the 1950s investment in Lincoln Center in the slums of the West Side of New York City and how it transformed an entire region to the most valuable Real Estate in the city. Kansas City has currently invested in the Arts an amount of money that a city 6 times our size would. Is Kansas City poised for an Arts renaissance with the establishment of the new Kaufman Center for the Performing Arts and the big 5 initiative to move the UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance programs to a downtown location?

[Thanks, UMKC]
