Although the grace of Columbia's most forward-thinking contemporary ballet dancers is indisputable, there's nothing quite like adding live music to the mix. That has been the premise of the annual installment of "LIVE" — the Missouri Contemporary Ballet's collaboration with live musicians from at home and out of state. The eclectic mix of live music jump-starts a concert that features a musician and choreographer from Chicago, a St. Louis rock band and the at-home compositional talents of Tom Andes and Travis McFarlane. That dynamic blend will be on full display this weekend with two shows at the Missouri Theatre Center for the Arts.
