A year ago Mary Pat Henry, co-founder of the Wylliams-Henry Contemporary Dance Company, went to KCUR "Cyprus Avenue" host Bill Shapiro with the idea that the Cyprus Avenue program would work as the basis for a dance performance. Intrigued, he agreed to build the soundtrack for a "live broadcast" which would combine his musical selections with dance performances choreographed and performed by her dance troop. Steve Kraske talks with Shapiro and Henry about their collaboration, and what viewers (and listeners) can expect to see and hear on the stage of the Folly Theater on October 22.
