KC Symphony, Emanuel Ax review by Teresa Sheffield

The Kansas City Symphony opened its inaugural season at the Kauffman Center with a bang last weekend. It was a three-day celebration headlined by international piano star Emanuel Ax that included pieces by Beethoven, Respighi, Stravinsky, and UMKC’s own Chen Yi.
