Sumner high school students like senior Laura Bynum and sophomore Kalen Allen are used to field trips to the opera. Bynum says the performers inspire her while Allen says he marvels at their talent. Their school spent approximately $1,500 to bus 100 students to the Lyric Theater last year. This year that ride will be free.
