History of the KC FilmFest

But while this celebration of film has the bragging rights of being the largest film festival in the Kansas City metro area, its beginning is somewhat more humble. The Kansas City FilmFest, or the Kansas City Filmmakers Jubilee as it was originally known, was started in 1997 by film and jazz enthusiast Fred Andrews.
