Cirque du Soleil’s "Alegria" opens May 12 at the Sprint Center in Kansas City’s Power and Light District. Sheryl Lynne Valensky, assistant artistic director, said "Alegria" comes from the Spanish word that means "joy" or "jubilation," which fits the show’s theme.
