Elizabeth Caballero thought she was going on a family vacation. She was 5, about to turn 6, when her parents told her and her younger sister that they were all going by boat to Miami to see their aunt. That they did, but as a child she had no way of comprehending that she would become part of the long, contentious relationship between Cuba and the United States.
