We have two major jazz concerts this weekend, and on the surface, they couldn’t be more different. The Folly Theater has singer-guitarist John Pizzarelli on Saturday, a man dedicated to making the old songs live again for our time and the future. And the Gem Theater has vibraphonist Stefon Harris on Friday, a man devoted to making jazz speak in the rhythms and harmonies of today without sacrificing the glory of any of the music’s past achievements.
