Opera singer Sun Yu interview by Cindy Hoedel

Opera singer Sun Yu, a bass-baritone, is a guest teacher at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Sun, originally from Anhui province in China, studied at the Conservatory of Music in Beijing and the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore. In 2001 he won the Liederkranz Wagner Competition in New York, and in 2002 he sang five operas with the Washington Opera at Kennedy Center under the direction of Placido Domingo.
