American Indian/gay and lesbian film festivals

The 11th annual KC Gay & Lesbian Film + Video Festival will unreel June 25-July 1 at the Tivoli Theatre, 4050 Pennsylvania Ave. To generate interest in the event, the fest is hosting a special weekend showcase of “The Big Gay Musical” Friday and Saturday at the Tivoli.

Once again this year, Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence will host Stories ’N Motion, a free festival of films about American Indian issues. It takes place next weekend in Haskell Auditorium on campus.
