Pianist Ramsey Lewis has been making irresistible grooves for upward of 50 years — first in a simple but powerful piano-bass-drums trio that churned out hits like “Wade in the Water” and “The In Crowd,” and later with plugged-in keyboards in a funky electric band that made hits like “Sun Goddess.”
