After more than two decades of service to the Lyric Opera of Kansas City, General Director Evan Luskin will retire on June 30, 2012. Mr. Luskin joined the Lyric on June 1, 1986 as its managing director, and became general director in 1998. The tenure under Mr. Luskin has seen a marked increase in the artistic standards and financial health of the Company.
