The renowned muse of the eminent ballet choreographer George Balanchine, Suzanne Farrell, owes a debt to Kansas City. When her 18-member, Kennedy Center-based troupe, the Suzanne Farrell Ballet, appears at the Lied Center of Kansas on Saturday night, audiences will see why. It has to do with a familiar name: the late Todd Bolender, former artistic director of the Kansas City Ballet.
