Grief and humor coexist in an uneasy alliance in "The Year of Magical Thinking," Joan Didion’s stage adaptation of her award-winning memoir. The play is receiving its Kansas City premiere at the Living Room, which is co-producing the show with Spinning Tree Theatre.
