Jewish jazz musicians highlighted in "Kansas City Jazz and Blues" doc

Jazz and blues are usually thought of as African American musical forms, but American Jews have long shown an affinity for them, too. So perhaps it’s not surprising that a handful of Jewish musicians are featured — one prominently — in the new documentary film “Kansas City Jazz and Blues: Past, Present and Future,” which has its local premiere next week.
