Kansas Oldtime Fidlers, Pickers and Singers preview by Ann Williamson

One by one, the musicians and their families walk through the door and pull their instruments out of their cases. Once the tuning is finished, Paul Root takes the microphone and begins to play a song, and immediately he is accompanied by 10 other musicians that follow his lead. Soon the room is full of rich music by accomplished and first-time musicians alike. Thus begins the monthly meeting of the Kaw Valley Chapter of the Kansas Oldtime Fiddlers, Pickers and Singers.
