KC Symphony, Carnegie Hall "Link Up" program

The Kansas City Symphony joins Carnegie Hall's Link Up program which pairs orchestras across country with students in grades 3--5 at schools in their local communities to explore orchestral repertoire. Through a hands-on music curriculum, students in grades 3--5 discover how composers create musical movement using elements such as motif, melodic direction, steps and leaps, dynamics, and orchestration. Exploring a range of orchestral repertoire, students sing, play the recorder, compose, and perform in a culminating concert with the Kansas City Symphony in Helzberg Hall! Over 4,800 students will participate in the program this year.
