The Kansas City Symphony is honored and thrilled to welcome one of the greatest conductors of our time, Christoph von Dohnányi, to the podium of Helzberg Hall. Maestro Dohnányi has received the acclaim of audiences and critics from his many appearances with the greatest orchestras and opera companies of the world. For 20 years he was music director of the great Cleveland Orchestra, and is Honorary Conductor for Life of London's Philharmonia Orchestra. His interpretations have been hailed as "fresh and visionary." He brings to Kansas City, March 2 - 4, 2012, a program of his specialties, including Richard Strauss's delightful Till Eulenspiegel and Tchaikovsky's dramatic Sixth Symphony.
