During the Rep's lobby party after the opening night's performance of Marc Wolf’s compelling
Another American: Asking and Telling, a friend and I were discussing a certain aspect of the play. We were a little surprised the show has an intermission. Many solo shows have none, although it's not a cut and dried rule. It's sometimes easier for the performer to sustain dramatic momentum without that break. My friend, asked, "What made us go back in?" We knew where the play was heading and had a good guess how it might end. Why go back?
