It’s not a competition. This is the message that Alice Beebe wants to rise above all else when it comes to her plan for a “Messiah” performance in Independence this December. In 2011, the long-standing Independence tradition relocated from performing at Community of Christ Auditorium to the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Kansas City.
